I started weight-training at the age of 14 to increase my strength and size for football.  The weight-training and pursuit of physical fitness became a lifelong direction for me.

In 1974, I graduated from Bowling Green State University with a B.S. degree in Education.  After college I went to work for General Motors. I decided to pursue a second career and fulfill my life's passion to work in the field of health and fitness. Shortly after that I received my certification to become a personal trainer through ISSA.

My next employer was Global Fitness.  I worked as a trainer in one of their subsidiaries, Urban Active Health & Fitness Clubs.  During my three years at Urban Active, I was able to facilitate the transformation of many individuals to a healthier life-style with approximately 60 clients and about 100 training sessions per week.  I relocated to Fort Gratiot to marry my fiancee, Connie Davidson July 10, 2010.
